President Barack Obama welcomed the winners of the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE) to the White House and congratulated them on their achievements and innovation. It is the highest honor bestowed by the United States Government on science and engineering professionals in the early stages of their independent research careers. MCB Assistant Professor of Neurobiology Hillel Adesnik received an award for his studies on cortical function and neurological disorders.
